At Systematic, you will join our internal IT department (ITM). With a focus on high standards, ITM is responsible for providing IT support to all employees and maintaining and developing software development applications, business applications, and IT infrastructure.

You will join a small team of four full-time and two part-time colleagues, where you will collaborate on delivering efficient developer services and improving the developer experience.

Your Responsibilities And Contribution
You will contribute to making the business more efficient through the development platforms and services the team provides and work with the rest of the organisation to ensure that services are continuously maintained and improved. Therefore, you can expect that this job will greatly impact our developers' daily lives. Your responsibility as an Application Specialist is, thus, to ensure that all applications run smoothly all day and that fixes and improvements are made continuously.

This position is new in Systematic, so there will be opportunities to shape the role to suit your wishes. Furthermore, there will be plenty of time to learn and develop in the role too.

As an Application Specialist, we expect your primary responsibility will be to support all business applications related to development tools. Therefore, we see your key tasks include:

• Supporting applications by resolving incidents and problems
• Maintaining relevant applications by updating systems and installing the latest releases
• Developing minor fixes or service requests for the business
• Assisting in supporting and developing integrations for other systems
• Preparing maintenance plans and scheduling these according to the change management process
• Ensuring that applications are monitored and that events are triggered.

This is the job for you if you are interested in working with the following wide range of technologies, which we are looking for someone who are motivated to learn and enhance knowledge of:

• PowerShell, Bash and Python for Windows and Linux systems
• Terraform, Ansible and Helm
• Jira, TeamCity, Nexus, Black Duck, Bitbucket and GitHub Copilot
• Kubernetes and Docker

We also envisage that you are service-minded and possess excellent communication skills, as your responsibility also includes close collaboration with various stakeholders. Experience is something you will gain as you develop in this position, but if you have some, it is beneficial, but we are ready to support you in this learning journey. Furthermore, you must be fluent in English, as it is our daily corporate language in conversations with colleagues worldwide.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
