The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate (GCS) – Group Digital Office (GDO) – Platforms & Services Department (P&S) – Operations & Service Desk Division (OSDK) – Service Desk Unit (SDK), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March 2025)
(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Objective of the traineeship
You will provide end-to-end technical support for incidents and service requests from EIB Group staff worldwide. Our unit always puts the customer first and focuses on the quality resolution and overall satisfaction of the staff. You will work closely with the unit Service Managers, be fully involved in the ongoing projects and contribute to different initiatives by proactively proposing improvements to processes, systems and how these are shared across the EIB Group. Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Support ongoing projects and be proactive in proposing improvements to the processes and systems used
- Work with IT teams to identify areas of the organization for optimisation
- Contribute to promote understanding, awareness and implementation of Green IT initiatives,
- Conduct ongoing research of Green IT trends and provide recommendations;
- Review and propose improvements of the end user software at the EIB Group promoting standardization and rationalization of software products and license cost optimisation;
- Conduct research to identify emerging digital technologies and trends, and provide recommendations;
- Create relevant content to support the introduction or promote the awareness, of hardware and software in use, with a focus on mobile and new IT devices or services.
- Final year of studies or University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or applicable fields
- Experience in project management would be considered an advantage
- Knowledge of data and information management would be considered an advantage
- Good planning and data analytic skills
- Service oriented and proactive approach
- Experience in content creation and communication - video editing skills will be considered an advantage
- Good knowledge of Sparkol, Camtasia or digital editing software would be considered an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools, in particular: Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
