The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services (GCS) – Buildings and Logistics Department (BLD) – Facilities & Mobility Services Division (FMS) – Business Travel and Mobility Unit (BTM), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March 2025)

(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Objective of the traineeship

You Will Gain Valuable Experience In Supporting The Business Travel And Mobility Unit’s Strategy Development And Modernization Of Its Business Travel Processes. You Will Assist The Senior Officers In Drafting The Terms Of Reference For The Selection Of An Online Booking Tool

• Flexible enough to accommodate the organization’s internal systems,
• Easy to integrate with the new Enterprise Resource Planning system,
• Incorporating sustainability considerations and AI features.
  
  

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Assist in drafting the Business Travel and Mobility Unit’s comprehensive business travel strategy.
• Contribute to the drafting of the Terms of Reference for the selection of an online booking tool that integrates with the future Enterprise Resource Planning and accommodates sustainability and AI-driven features.
• Support Senior Officers in the dialogue with internal stakeholders to ensure that business needs are aligned with the new tools and strategy.
• Support run market research, gather feedback, and present findings for decision-making.
  
  

Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills

• Final year of studies or University degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Tourism, or related fields.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Interest in sustainability practices and emerging technologies, especially AI.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail, proactiveness and good organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems and online booking tools would be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (in particular: Excel, PowerPoint) and general tech-savviness.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
