The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Secretariat General (SG) – Shareholder Relations and Institutional Matters Department (SR&IM) – Institutional Representation Division (IRD) – External Offices Unit (EO), at its EIB office in Budapest, Hungary: TRAINEE

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2025)

Please note that you are requested to limit your applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications. We will only consider and retain the first three applications submitted.

Objective of the traineeship

You will be expected, under the guidance of Head of Office, to contribute to enhance the visibility of the EIB Group (EIBG), particularly towards Universities and Higher Education Schools in Budapest.

You are also expected to contribute to various other tasks performed by the EIBG Budapest Office, such as, but not limited to, the Office's newsletter, taxation refund procedures, preparation of briefing notes / statistics for the Head of Office. You will report to the Head of Office.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the administration of the office;
  • Organise the participation of colleagues to seminars and research conferences when suitable;
  • Support events and other initiatives organized by the Office, including inputs to briefings, presentations for conferences, monthly newsletters etc.
  • Ad hoc requests.

Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills

  • Final year of studies or University degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Business Management, Communications or/and IT;
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (in particular Excel, Word, Power Point);
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Hungarian would be an advantage;
  • Familiarity with the local culture and economic landscape would be considered an advantage.];
