Join a team of thirteen experienced professionals dedicated to transforming Norlys' core ISP infrastructure services. Our unit is the driving force behind the seamless integration of technology and business, using software and services as a key abstraction layer. Your role

As a Network Automation Engineer at Norlys, you will play a key role in advancing our ISP infrastructure services. Your expertise will contribute to the lifecycle of our services from design and development to testing and support bridging the gap between technology and business. With a focus on automation, we're searching for a Network Engineer who can excel in a diverse stakeholder environment.

The recent acquisition of Telia Mobile Denmark presents a unique chance for you to develop innovative automations and abstractions for the mobile sphere. You'll be at the forefront of enhancing our customers' mobile experiences, contributing to the telecom sector's ongoing transformation.

As a Network Automation Specialist, your mission will be to:

• Craft, implement, and refine software within our automation framework.
• Estimate new development projects and services accurately.
• Collaborate with experts in the network and mobile sectors.
• Proactively identify potential issues and coordinate solutions across teams.
• Assist the integration of Telia Mobil Denmark into Norlys.

Essential skills and experience

We're seeking a skilled professional with a solid educational foundation, holding a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.

This role is tailored for an experienced Certified Network Engineer, carrying accreditations such as Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP-SP, or their equivalent.

You will bring to the team:

• A thorough understanding and hands-on experience with network protocols and concepts, including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, L2/L3 VPNs, BGP, Segment Routing, ISIS, multicast, Radius, BNG, DNS, and DHCP.
• A solid level of coding proficiency in languages and tools like Python, Golang, CI/CD, and Git.
• Demonstrated experience in network automation with platforms such as Ansible, Cisco NSO, Terraform, Salt, and Netbox.
• A comprehensive grasp of software security principles and secure development practices.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement, adept at liaising with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Knowledge:

• Experience with logging systems, specifically Syslog and ELK.
• Proficiency with the TIG stack.
• Comfortable operating within a Linux environment, showcasing your adaptability and technical acumen.

Additional information

As Norlys is a predominantly Danish speaking company, with an increasing number of non-Danish speaking colleagues, English proficiency is becoming more important. If you are based in Jutland, expect to spend 1-2 days per month in Copenhagen.

You must also be eligible for vetting by the Danish Defense Intelligence Service (FE) and maintain security clearance throughout your employment.
