We are expanding our Nordic Power Trading team and are now looking for a Quantitative Power Analyst to join us – could that be you?
In this role, you will engage in diverse projects encompassing data science, trading, and decision-making processes to enhance the team's new and existing trading strategies. Your role will involve transforming various datasets, including price and weather data relevant to power markets, into actionable insights that drive our trading decisions through manual analysis or automated processes.
Your journey as a Quantitative Power Analyst
You will join a team of 4 ambitious and highly skilled traders and quantitative analysts who excel in what they do and create a fun and engaging environment. Cross-team collaboration is essential in our daily operations. Therefore, you can expect to interact with colleagues from across our organization, whether from other trading or IT teams.
We will ensure you are ready to take on your new role by giving you a thorough introduction to our team, how we operate as a business, and our organization. Responsibilities – you will:
- Analyze data to support quantitative decision-making
- Improve and maintain trading and data visualization tools
- Structure and develop our fundamental stack model
Qualifications – we imagine that you:
- Hold a master’s degree in economics, mathematics-economics, finance, or a related field. Alternatively, you are in the final year of your master’s program and seeking a student position with the potential to transition into a full-time role upon graduation.
- Have excellent programming skills, preferably in Python
- Have experience with time-series analysis, stack-models, forecasting, and quantitative technique
- Have proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and econometrics
- Have an interest in financial markets and trading
- Can communicate fluently in English – oral and written
