Trading Operational Analyst - Intraday Power Trading

We are seeking a motivated person who is interested in the power markets to join us as Operational Analyst for our Intraday team. Holding this position, you will have the chance to apply your previous experience and skills in a professional and collaborative environment, surrounded by highly skilled traders and analysts. Your coding skills and expertise in Python and VBA will play a pivotal role in our trading activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize trading tools for Intraday, with a strong focus on coding and automation
• Monitor accesses for Intraday and ensure that the trading and auctions platforms are operational for the team.
• Be the main contact person for the Intraday trading desk when needed, particularly for technical and coding-related queries.
• Continuously identify and implement operational optimizations through code.
• Improve the existing Intraday setup by automating the stepwise process to the extent possible leveraging your coding expertise.
• Maintain good relations with key external stakeholders, exchanges, platforms etc. when it comes to relevant market and technical updates.

Qualifications and Requirements

As a candidate, we expect that you:

• Hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., Cand.merc. in Business Intelligence or cand.oecon)
• Have a deep understanding and interest in financial and energy markets, with a keen passion for coding.
• Proficient in Python and VBA coding with extensive experience and strong technical knowledge in coding. Previous experience from a similar role is an advantage.
• Enjoy "geeking out" on code, constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to improve through programming.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Strive for continuous improvement and optimization, particularly through coding and technical solutions.
