We seek a talented Data Architect to become part of our team and significantly contribute to our sustainability efforts. Utilizing data, you will be instrumental in supporting farmers and creating innovative, data-oriented solutions aimed at progressing sustainable and digital dairy farming.

“You will become part of the ASC (Agriculture, Sustainability & Communication) IT Department where you will be involved in expanding the data software platforms and digital solutions that support Arla's sustainability journey. Additionally, you will act as the right hand to the Data Platform Manager, assisting in leading the team and ensuring the architectural roadmap for the data platform.” says IT Manager, Stefan R. Stegaru

In our Agriculture, Sustainability, Communication (ASC) Agile Release Train, we build the data integrations and platforms between the main systems inside our team, from other teams or with external data providers and consumers. How You Will Make An Impact

As a Data Architect, your responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing the department's data architecture strategy. You need to understand diverse business needs and have strong technical skills to provide solutions. Your role involves executing technical and functional implementations, presenting ideas, and interacting with business and IT stakeholders professionally. You will work closely with the Data Platform Architect, Data Engineers, Solutions Architects, Developers, and Subject Matter Experts, as well as collaborate with other technical teams for data systems and application integration. Your work will be crucial in enhancing data infrastructure and promoting data-driven decision-making within the organization.

More specifically, your tasks will include

• Act as a technical lead for the data engineers' team that is delivering solutions to the other technical teams in our department, and collaborate with these teams
• Translating the business requirements and processes into solution designs ready to be implemented by the developers
• Refine the user-stories with the technical description and acceptance criteria
• Develop data models, database schemas, and data flow diagrams
• Handle the non-functional requirements like documentation, security, testing and good development practices and improve and enhance existing data architecture
  
  

What Will Make You Successful

We imagine that you

• Have 3+ years of experience in one or multiple of the following roles/similar positions Data Architect, Back-end Software Developer, Data Warehouse Developer/Architect, BI Developer/Architect, SQL Developer or Data Engineer
• Strong technical background in SQL and Python applied to Data Integrations, Data Warehouse and Data Applications
• Proficient in data modelling and database design concepts and experience with data integration and migration projects
• Deep knowledge of Data Architecture concepts Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh etc.
