As our Senior Audio Engineer, you will contribute to our mission of Bringing People Closer by being at the forefront of our innovative products and technological advancements. The work area will be creating audio solutions for our audio/video products intended for personal usage and for meeting rooms.
Your work will be crucial in ensuring that voice communication using these products is of high sound quality. This involves creating reliable voice pick-up and noise-reduction solutions, combining multiple devices to achieve this, as well as ensuring the sound played back is optimum for good communication. In addition, ensuring these solutions perform consistently in different environments.
The team you will be part of
You are part of the Audio Technology team that develops audio technologies that make our GN products the preferred choice for our customers. We work closely with our research and product development teams in the wider R&D function.
We focus on adding value for both internal and external customers, building on solid craftsmanship. Our approach is modular, constructing new technology on a robust and well-designed foundation. We verify and mature our technology through prototyping and thorough testing under realistic conditions. We work using the SAFe framework, and plan in Azure DevOps.
Our team is diverse, with members from various nationalities, and we embrace personal and cultural differences. Our daily communication language is English. We promote an atmosphere of shared learning where mutual aid and reflection on outcomes, both positive and negative, are integral to our group's progress.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Develop, evaluate and improve audio solutions for current and future products with focus on audio signal processing.
- Optimize the audio signal processing to make it work well with the acoustic design and environment.
- Prototype audio solutions and make objective/subjective tests to confirm performance against requirements.
- Support implementation of signal processing in resource constraint chipsets.
- Ideally support and take part in the development of acoustic designs.
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you
Have a degree within electrical/acoustic engineering, physics or similar.
- Are experienced in algorithm development within audio signal processing.
- Have experience with both traditional signal processing as well as machine learning algorithms.
- Experience or knowledge in acoustics is desirable.
- Are familiar with acoustic measurements and subjective/objective audio evaluation metrics and methods.
- Possess solid skills in Python, Matlab, and C programming.
- Experience with development tools such as make, git, and similar applications is considered advantageous.
- Embrace a rational approach to thinking.
- It is advantageous to have experience or knowledge in product development.
- Are pro-active in your approach towards your internal stakeholders.
